Did Ilaiyaraja opt out of Pisaasu?

Dec 17, 2014 | India Glitz

After the critically acclaimed Onaayum Attukuttiyum the director Mysskin is busy canning his next film titled Pisaasu. The film touted to have a paranormal subject is being shot at night times in Chennai. Recently the director shot a stunt sequence in a subway near the newly constructed Government Multi Speciality Hospital in Anna Salai.

As we all know Pisaasu is being produced by director Bala under his B Studios banner. Contrary to the expectations, the film does not have maestro Ilaiyaraja in its technical crew. This has lead to news reports suggesting that Ilaiyaraja refused to work with Mysskin since he felt that the director did not give much importance to music in his films.

Speaking about this in a recent interview, the Anjaathe director has rubbished the claim as mere rumor. Wondering how the media representatives write something about a conversation that has happened in a closed room as if they heard what was being spoken, the director said he still considers Raja sir as a father figure. He also said that he conveyed his decision to go for a fresh talent for Pisaasu music, to which the veteran composer gave his concurrence.
